Kathryn is a member of the Literacy, Language and Digital Literacies, the Policy, Inequality and Social Disadvantage and the Higher Education and Professional Learning research clusters within the School of Education.

Kathryn is Director of the MA in Applied Professional Studies in Education, supporting professionals working in education to undertake practitioner research via distance learning. Kathryn also teaches on the English strand of the Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), specialising in developing beginning English teachers.
