UCAS and applying to university

Learn all about how to navigate the UCAS application process and all of the key dates. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A at the end.

We know that studying in the UK is an investment in your future. In this session we'll share details of our scholarship schemes and talk about the different things you will need to budget for as a student. You'll also hear from current students and have the chance to ask questions.

University of Sheffield accommodation: how to apply and what it's like to live there

We guarantee a room in our University accommodation for the majority of students. Our friendly Accommodation team will take you through how to apply, our allocation process and the facilities and social events available in our accommodation. Hear from current students about their experiences living in our accommodation and there will also be an opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A at the end.
Student funding advice for UK students

Funding your studies often presents a real worry for prospective students. Join our Student Funding Team as they explain the student finance system and cover the funding available from the University and elsewhere. You will also have the opportunity to have your specific funding related questions answered.

Supporting your journey to University - Discover Access +
Thursday 15 October 2026 | 6pm GMT
We recognise that each individual has different circumstances that may impact their student journey. In this session, the Access Service will talk about Access+ and the range of support they offer to students who are underrepresented in higher education. They will also cover local and national widening access programmes, contextual admissions policies and transition support. The team will be on hand to take your questions.
Who are our online information sessions for?
Our online information sessions are mainly aimed at prospective undergraduate students and their supporters.
This includes:
- if you're based in the UK or are overseas
- if you've already received an offer to study at Sheffield or are still exploring your options
From time to time there may be sessions which are only relevant to particular audiences, but these will be clearly labelled.
