Reach out to Sheffield students this winter
Help a student who's struggling today. When you support a student like Sarah, you're giving the financial security needed to thrive at Sheffield. Whether that's support through hardship grants, scholarships or enriching extracurricular activities, you're helping students feel like they belong.
Each year, Sheffield's donor community kindly support students who don’t have the safety net of family support or are from a low-income household.
This festive season, you can help a student in financial need and show someone like Sarah that they belong at Sheffield. Hardship support applications opened at the beginning of November - this is your opportunity to reach out and be the support they need.
- A gift of £50 could go towards a hardship grant for a student in need of paying bills or food at this time of year
- A gift of £100 could help a student buy the essentials they need to build a home in those crucial first few weeks.
- A gift of £500 could go towards a ‘moving on’ grant for a student like Sarah to help fund graduation costs, or preparing and travelling to interviews.
- A gift of £1,500 could go towards a scholarship so that a student in need can attend and succeed at Sheffield.

Sulaiman's story
Sulaiman is the first in his family to come to university. Without the financial support that his donor-funded scholarship offers, he’d never have been able to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.
