Credit: UK AI Research Symposium University of Sheffield researchers win UK first national AI prize A new award recognising the strength and impact of the UK’s AI research, has been awarded to academics at the University of Sheffield. 24 September 2025 Search Sheffield scientists sequence over 1,000 Covid-19 genomes to aid pandemic response Dr Dennis Wang is part of a team who have now produced over 1,000 sequences of the coronavirus genome.
