PhD profiles

Katerina is doing her PhD in Data Efficient NLP with Active Learning. She recently started the third year of her PhD and this year will be doing two internships, one in Amazon and one in Meta (ex-Facebook).

Megan is a student in the Centre for Doctoral Training in Speech and Language Technologies and their Applications.

This is Nathan - he is a PhD student working across Computer Science and the Medical School and here he shares why he enjoys the community feel of Sheffield and how the University's LGBT society helped him grow as a person. This is his story.

Originally from Athens, Avgoustinos did an undergrad degree in the department of Electronic Computer Systems Engineering in the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus. He is now part of the Machine Learning research group.

Matt studied his undergraduate degree in Sheffield and felt very at home in the department. He enjoyed the course here, particularly getting stuck into the larger project for his dissertation.
