This year we have focused on a specific and distinctive landscape: the White Peak. Named for its underlying limestone geology, the area is characterised by deep dales, pasture lands, limestone plateaus, ravine woodlands, holy wells, thermal springs, caverns, and caves. We have been exploring how the construction industry might transition to being less carbon-intensive, more bio-based, and locally sourced. Asking what impact this could have on the landscape, and whether this can be regenerative, improving biodiversity and limiting degradation.
