Profile

I joined the Lifelong Learning Foundation Year at the University of Sheffield in 2021. I am passionate about making higher education more transparent and equitable for students from non-traditional backgrounds.
I hold an MChem in Biological Chemistry and a DPhil in Evolutionary Microbiology. I was awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2026, and am currently studying towards my Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (PGCertTLHE).

Research interests

My scholarship interests include building academic confidence, and data-driven approaches to the scholarship of teaching and learning.


 

Teaching interests

I am the module lead for the Maths & Statistics, Foundations of Chemistry (Core) and Foundations of Chemistry (Further) modules. I also teach on the Academic Literacy & Communication Skills and Extended Project modules alongside my role as an Academic Tutor for students on Health and Sciences pathways.

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a member of the Foundation Year Network (FYN).
