A conference fee of £25 for students (£50 for non-students) is payable upon registration (all attendees will be expected to prepare and present a poster). This fee includes attendance to the conference, access to lunches, and an invitation to the complimentary conference dinner held on 7th January.

Event information

The first UK Rail Research & Innovation Network (UKRRIN) student led conference will take place between Tuesday 7th January and Wednesday 8th January 2025 at The University of Sheffield. The event, supported by UKRRIN, RSSB, and Network Rail, will feature poster presentations from all delegates, presentations from invited delegates, and keynote addresses from industry leaders including the University of Birmingham, British Steel Limited, Furrer+Frey GB, and Network Rail. The conference programme and recommended hotels can be found here.

A panel session entitled “What does the future of the UK Rail Industry look like?” will also be held during the event.

A conference dinner for all delegates will be held on Tuesday 7th January.
