Management Team
Our Management Team has day-to-day oversight of the centre and its students. Each member has their own specific responsibilities.
Prof. Neil Sims - Centre Director. Neil has overall responsibility for the centre and chairs the management team meetings.
Prof. Hassan Ghadbeigi - Co-Director for Academic Operations. Hassan leads the year 1 training programme, including the coordination of mini-projects, and maintains academic oversight of student progression and engagement
Prof. David Curtis - Co-Director for Innovation. Dave leads on the alignment of strategy with the High Value Manufacturing Catapult and on strategic engagement with partners, supporting the development of research outputs into innovation opportunities.
Dr Pete Crawforth - Co-Director for AMRC Operations. Pete is responsible for scoping new projects in collaboration with industrial partners, and for supporting students with AMRC-based activities in years 2-4.
Ms. Shirley Harrison - Co-Director for ED&I and SME Engagement. Shirley leads the development of ED&I as part of the EPSRC-coordinated approach, and leads SME engagement in the SME Group Project, as well as other training activities (e.g. visits, career talks and entrepreneurship training)
Prof. Matt Marshall - Co-Director for Education Strategy. Matt provides an advisory role to the centre on the regulatory education environment
Prof. Ash Tiwari - Co-Director for Research Strategy. Ash is responsible for aligning our strategy with UK and international manufacturing research excellence, and for supporting the development of new projects to enable impactful and high quality research.
Dr Francesca Breeden - Centre Manager. Chez manages the day-to-day operations of the centre, monitoring student progression, admissions and pastoral support.
