Supervision
Our EngD and PhD students benefit from the expertise of at least two supervisors, often more. You will meet with your supervisory team at least once a month, but you may find you meet with some of your supervisors more often than that.
Academic Supervisor (EngD & PhD)
Your academic supervisor steers the research content of the project, and advises on the academic contribution to knowledge. They are also your primary supervisor, and are typically based on the main University campus.
Innovation Supervisor (EngD & PhD)
Your innovation supervisor will normally be based at the AMRC, and supports your path to developing your research towards an innovation output and ultimately industrial application.
Industry Supervisor (EngD)
The industry supervisor supports you to align your research and project with a specific industrial need from a research and training perspective. They will be based at the sponsor company.
