Description
Teaching Research Methods in Sociology, edited by Foster, Mason and Nichols (2025) explores both theoretical and practical approaches to creating engaging and innovative research methods teaching. This online book launch will bring together the book’s authors and editors to discuss the development of the text, as well as the wider opportunities and challenges involved in teaching research methods in sociology and across the social sciences. The event will be of interest to anyone involved in, or interested in, teaching social research methods in higher education.
There will be contributions from: Professor Liam Foster, Dr Will Mason and Dr Kitty Nichols (University of Sheffield) alongside Professor Melanie Nind (University of Southampton), Professor Julie Scott and Dr Liz Cain (Manchester Metropolitan University), Dr Jennifer Cyr (Universidad Torcuato Di Tella) and Professor Robin Smith (Cardiff University).
