Profile

Mari-Liis is a Research Trainee in the SSCR, bringing extensive experience as a qualified social worker across statutory and charity sectors. Mari-Liis has a background that includes work in child protection, support for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, and services for survivors of human trafficking and homelessness. Mari-Liis is passionate about applied research that strengthens evidence-based practice and improves outcomes for marginalised communities.
Mari-Liis is currently supporting two SSCR funded projects- Enhancing Transparency, Explainability, and Consent in Technology for adults with learning disabilities (Dr Liz Croot and Dr Alice Dunning) and Navigating Neurodisability Through The Prison Gates (Dr Danica Darley).
