Description
If you are 21 or over, and are interested in finding out about studying for an undergraduate degree as a mature student, join us at our open evening event.
What is it?
A drop in event featuring a series of short talks and information stalls. Staff will be available from all University faculties and a wide range of University support services. Refreshments will be provided.
The programme of talks for the evening has now been confirmed and is outlined below:

| 6pm | Support for mature students - an overview of support services at the University of Sheffield | 6pm | Routes into Healthcare for Mature Learners – an overview of courses and apprenticeships which lead to a career in healthcare, including Adult Nursing, Orthoptics, and Speech and Language Therapy. |

| 6:30pm | Student Stories - current mature students share their experiences of returning to education |
Who is it for?
Anyone 21 or over who would like information on studying for an undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield.
The event will include:
- An opportunity to meet current mature students
- Information about our exciting range of full and part-time courses
- Information about Nursing Apprenticeships for healthcare professionals
- Guidance on how to apply for a University course
- Overview of support for mature students
- Information on student finance
- Foundation years and other entry routes explained
- An opportunity to ask questions to staff and students
The University of Sheffield offers a wide range of full and part time degree courses for mature students, and lack of traditional entry qualifications is no barrier to entry.
