Islam Elgendy received his BSc degree from Assiut University, and the M.S degree in Computer Science from the University of Assiut, Egypt in 2013.
He is currently doing a part-time PhD in the Department of Computer Science from the University of Sheffield, UK.

His research interests are in the areas of software engineering specifically software testing and verification, search-based software testing, mutation testing, and automated test data generation.
