The Sheffield Confucius Institute engages in a variety of projects that culminate in delightful exhibitions each year - Read on to find our more about them!
The following are some of the exhibitions and shows which the Sheffield Confucius Institute either organises or takes part in.
School Arts Competition Exhibition
Each year the Sheffield Confucius Institute invites the primary and secondary school networks from the South Yorkshire area and beyond to contribute to our annual School Arts Competition, producing art works inspired by each Chinese zodiac animal.
The Year of the Dragon will be the next Chinese Lunar Year and the traits of the Dragon are charisma, intelligence and confidence. We believe there can be no better traits to represent our unified spirit and drive for success in the year of 2024. All schools are welcome to join!
China - UK Perspectives: Photography Exhibition
The annual China - UK Perspectives: Photography Exhibition explores the bond between China and the UK in a fascinating and positive way, channelling interpretations of the relationship between each country through a selection of compelling categories.
The next annual photography competition will explore the theme: Friendship. It is the SCI’s mission to promote cooperation and understanding between China and the UK, and this year we’re very excited to explore the theme of friendship in a spectrum of five categories - Courage, Loyalty, Respect, Trust, and Harmony. We invite all friends across China and the UK to submit photos associated with these themes so we can celebrate the bond between China and the UK together.
