Join us for your Medicine Offer Holder Day at Sheffield! Discover what makes studying Medicine here unique, explore the opportunities available to you and get a taste of what life as a Sheffield medical student is really like.
Arriving at the School
We'll let you know your arrival location once you've booked a place at your offer holder day.
You can visit us 10am to 12.30pm or 2pm to 4.30pm.
Please arrive in good time for the start of your booked session, as we'll need to scan the QR code from your booking to register you.
When booking, you'll be able to reserve a place for yourself and one guest at the department activities. To ensure safe venue capacities, the department will be unable to accommodate any additional un-booked visitors.
However, you're welcome to bring additional guests to accompany you on the day, and we would encourage these guests to take part in our range of central exhibitions and tours while the department activities are running.
Medicine offer holder timetable
You will have booked to visit the school 10am to 12.30pm or 2pm to 4.30pm on your offer holder day. Here's what to expect from your time with us. Timings are approximate and are subject to change, and so we recommend checking back prior to the event.
Students will be split into groups, with the first and last activities running in rotation so everyone has the opportunity to take part in both.

| 30 minutes | Course talk and Q&A: Hear more about studying Medicine at Sheffield, what to expect from the course and life as a medical student, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. |
| 60 minutes | Groups swap: Group 1 visits the interactive course zones, while Group 2 enjoys the Anatomy lab tours. |

Activities
You'll have the chance to take part in a variety of activities related to Medicine to give you a real taste of what it's like to be a student at Sheffield.
We run a range of activities on our applicant days and the below examples will give you an insight into what you could be doing on the day.
Tour and Demonstrations in our Anatomy Lab
Step inside our Anatomy Labs and discover how we bring the human body to life! You'll get to explore our state-of-the-art Anatomage tables, anatomical models, real bones and skeletons, and human plastinated specimens. You'll also see how we use interactive technology and medical imaging to help students learn about the human body and prepare for life as a doctor.
Course Talk and Q&A
Find out what life as a medical student at Sheffield is really like in our Medicine course talk. We'll explore the opportunities available to you, introduce our new curriculum and explain how it will benefit your learning and development. There'll also be plenty of time to ask questions and get answers in our Q&A session.
Explore our Interactive Zones
Explore our interactive zones in the Medical School, including our Academic, Student and Clinical Skills zones. It's a great opportunity to try out some clinical skills, find out more about the research taking place at Sheffield and get any last-minute questions answered by our staff and students.
