Profile

Joining the department in September 2024, I am a Research Associate in Public Health Economic Modelling.

I have a background in biomedical science with an undergraduate degree from Sheffield Hallam University. Having previously worked in an NHS Medical Microbiology laboratory during this time, I was able to appreciate the work that goes on in a clinical setting. I then spent my postgraduate research journey (MSc and PhD) investigating antimicrobial resistance in the environment at the University of York.

During my PhD I found a love for coding and big data, which has led me to this role. The majority of the time, you will find me working within the R environment.

Qualifications

MSc by Research Biology from the University of York, 2022.

BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science from Sheffield Hallam University, 2020.

Research interests

I have a strong interest in public health and data science, especially the use of big data to inform health decision-making and the implementation of One-Health policies.
