Profile

Originally from Sri Lanka, my professional journey includes completing my Bachelors and Masters in Mechatronics and working in research and software engineering in Thailand before moving to the UK. I bring significant industrial experience to my research, having previously led engineering teams in developing automated optical inspection software and high-precision sensing technologies.

Currently, I am a Research Associate for the RESHAPE-CARE program, a major NIHR-funded collaboration between the Universities of Sheffield and Manchester. In this role, I architect digital twin models for patient and healthcare, designed to personalise care for individuals with multiple long-term conditions. This work involves applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML frameworks to bridge the gap between complex health datasets and predictive, person-centered clinical pathways.

Research interests

* Architecting Digital Twins for Cyber-Physical Systems
* Modeling and Identification of Complex Dynamic Systems
* High-Dimensional State Estimation and Signal Processing
* Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
* Autonomous Systems and Robotics
