Profile

I joined the Clinical Trials Research Unit (CTRU) in April 2026 as a Research Assistant, where I am currently working on the PITSTOP2 project (Pilonidal Sinus Treatment Studying the Options: trial of pit-picking plus fibrin glue versus other minimally invasive surgeries).

Prior to starting this role, I completed a BSc in Midwifery at the University of Leeds and a MSc in Women’s Health at University College London (UCL). My academic interests centre around sexual and reproductive health, maternal health, and global health research. My previous research projects have included a systematic review exploring factors influencing the mental health of pregnant women in UK prisons; a scoping review examining the impact of pronatalist policies on sexual and reproductive health services globally; and a process evaluation investigating access to sexual and reproductive health services in Tanzania following a social accountability intervention. The latter two projects were undertaken in collaboration with the World Health Organisation’s Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health Research.
