Dr Alexandra Moor

Alexandra works on two neutrino experiments at different phases of their lifecycle: the Short Baseline Near Detector (SBND), and the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). Her focus in DUNE is on detector calibration, and is cross section physics in SBND. She also works closely with the Pandora reconstruction framework team. 

Alexandra’s first degree was an MPhys from the University of Southampton (2019), which included spending a year doing a Masters by Research at CERN with the LHCb experiment. After that she moved to the University of Cambridge to complete her PhD (2024) on the neutrino experiments MicroBooNE and DUNE. She enjoyed this so much she decided to stay in the field, moving to the University of Sheffield as a postdoc. She still works on DUNE, but has now swapped MicroBooNE for SBND.
