Professor David McClean

David was on the staff of the Law School from 1961, a professor from 1973 to his retirement in 2004. He was a Pro-Vice-Chancellor from 1991 to 1996 and the University gave him an honorary LittD in 2012. David was appointed CBE in 1994 and an honorary QC in 1995. He was a judge in the ecclesiastical courts from 1992 to 2014. He is a Bencher of Gray’s Inn, a member of the Institut de droit international and a Fellow of the British Academy.
