Welcome from the Head of School

Thank you for your interest in applying for a post in the School of Law at Sheffield.

We're currently seeking to make multiple appointments in Law. These posts will start in September 2026.  These posts will be open to applicants from all areas of law but we are specifically looking to recruit in the areas of Contract Law, Criminal Law, Property Law and Public Law.

The School of Law is large and diverse with an international reputation for excellence in research, for the expertise of its staff, and the achievement of its graduates. Our vision is  to advance the interdisciplinary understanding of law, socio-legal studies and criminology, combining outstanding research with innovative research-led teaching. We offer four undergraduate and three masters degree programmes. We have a lively community of PhD students and research associates, who also contribute to the life of the School, including seminars, workshops, conferences and reading groups.
