I currently work as a Learning and Teaching Officer at the Department of Politics and International Relations.

In 2017, I completed the BA in Business English at Northeast Normal University in China. In the same year, I came to the University of Sheffield to do my masters course in Human Resource Management and completed it at the end of 2018.

I have been living in Sheffield for over four years. During my time here, I made friends and fell in love with the city. Sheffield is literally my second hometown. I started my career working as a Student Support Officer in the University of Sheffield International College (USIC) in 2019.

Meanwhile, I have completed the Level 3 teaching course from Sheffield College, which gave me an insight into how teaching works in higher education. After two and a half years of working for the USIC, I chose to rejoin the University in 2021 to work as a Learning and Teaching Officer. I am interested in supporting international students and especially the minority groups such as BAME.

I am planning to continue working for the University in professional services, as I am really happy to help international students with their study in Sheffield. It is a rewarding job which gives me a sense of achievement.

Also, I am interested in doing the EdD in the next few years to enhance my understanding in the education industry, which may help propel me into a leadership role or improve my skills.
