SLIDE: Subglacial Lakes at Isunguata Sermia - Dynamics and Evolution

A glacier in Greenland
Off

The SLIDE team is working in Greenland to investigate lakes that are hidden from sight beneath the ice sheet (also termed subglacial lakes). We aim to determine how the subglacial lakes form, drain and evolve, and to understand their wider impact on water flow under the ice and on the flow of the glacier itself. Funded by NERC.
