Students must take 120 credits throughout the academic year and we strongly advise to select an even balance of modules across the year, choosing 60 credits each semester.

This is to prevent an uneven workload, timetable and assessment burden. If you choose to take an uneven split of modules, you will be contacted about this choice.  Please keep an eye on the module choice system and your inbox in case we need to contact you regarding your module choices.

Please note that these choices can be amended during the Module Add/Drop period. This takes place during the first 3 weeks of the semester.

Module descriptors, staff contacts, teaching methods and assessment types for each available module can be found in the University’s Directory of Modules 2025-26.
