She is working with Dr Beth Garratt using qualitative longitudinal research methods, including interviews and ethnographic elements, to explore Sheffield mothers' experiences of navigating food insecurity and environmental sustainability on a low income. Prior to this, Christine was a Research Associate in the Department of Sociology at the University of York, working on an NHS funded project focusing on support available to children and young people who are questioning their gender identity. Christine was also an Associate Lecturer in the Department, delivering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Christine completed her PhD at the University of York in 2021. She used narrative conceptual and methodological frameworks to explore the lived experiences of LGBTQ women who are religious.
