- Profile
-
I am an academic clinical fellow in radiology, having joined the University of Sheffield in 2020 to study for a Master of Research in cardiovascular science. My current research interests are in using clinical imaging for risk prognostication and computational modelling of blood flow. For this work I received the 2025 British Cardiovascular Society early career investigator award and 2026 British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging young investigator award. I completed my undergraduate medical training at Lancaster Medical School, ranked first in my year and received the Lancaster University Chancellor’s Medal. I also serve as a Trainee Committee member of British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging.

My research work primarily focuses on leveraging MRI images to improve classification and risk prognostication in patients with pulmonary hypertension. This work leverages in-house developed artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for image analysis and is completed under the supervision of Professor’s Andy Swift and David Kiely.
I also work within the Mathematical Modelling in Medicine research group, contributing to ongoing development of the VIRTUheart suite for computing coronary physiology. I have led validation projects and used the software to perform a sub-analysis of the ORBITA trial, evaluating the association between microvascular physiology and angina symptom improvement with coronary stenting.
