Congratulations to Professor Nick Bishop on receiving the Brittle Bone Society's award for "Outstanding Service for the care and research in children with Osteogenesis Imperfecta" at a reception on 5 December 2018 hosted by MSP Shona Robison (Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport 2014–2018) and attended by FM Nicola Sturgeon to mark the Brittle Bone Society's 50th Anniversary.
Cameron Allen, aged 17, is an amazing young man with osteogenesis imperfecta. In the past 3 years Cameron has been doing a walk and wheel for the Brittle Bone Society and raised nearly £4k. Overall he has raised nearly £10k. He was part of BBC Countryfile’s launch event to get people out in the countryside and he also loves flying and took his first flying lessons recently.
