I am a mental health nurse researcher working on healthcare workforce and policy research at the School of Medicine and Population Health. The focus of my research is on the factors affecting the retention of staff in NHS services and the implementation of changing roles and changing ways of working for staff.
I have worked in a variety of ward-based and community mental health services in the UK and Gibraltar. My PhD, in Health Services Research, focussed on the use of EMDR to treat long-term depression. I am also interested in a whole-person view of healthcare particularly in people who have multiple conditions, which include both mental and physical illnesses.

- Health and social care workforce issues (safe staffing levels, recruitment and retention, burnout and stress, implementation of change)
