Jack Render

I’m the Student Recruitment Officer for the North East region. That means I have the opportunity to facilitate activity to aid students’ understanding of University and the decision-making process - this includes choosing a University and course, personal statement writing and student finance applications to name a few. Before joining the UK Student Recruitment Team at Sheffield, I spent time working across various roles within Student Recruitment and Access.

I studied to be a P.E. teacher whilst at University, and I worked as a Student Ambassador alongside my studies. Working as an Ambassador helped me to realise how important it is to make education accessible for all students, and so I put the teaching career on hold. I studied in London and moved to Sheffield after graduating in order to continue working with students in schools and colleges. As a result I have spoken to thousands of students, and hopefully helped a few of them along the way!

Outside of work I love all things music and sport, especially going to live events whenever possible.
