Summer schools
Are you in Y12 and wanting to find out more about university and if it’s the right step for you? At our summer schools, you'll immerse yourself in student life, build skills for higher education, and make friends from across the country - all for free!
Whether you want to build your skills on our Access to Sheffield summer school or take a deep dive into one of eight subject areas on our Sutton Trust summer schools, there’s something for you.
All summer schools take place on campus, with students staying in Sheffield-owned student accommodation. Our summer schools are completely free of charge.
Successful completion of a summer school will result in additional consideration and a contextual offer equivalent to up to three grades below the standard A Level entry requirements for your course.
If you choose to study with us, and meet our criteria, you will be guaranteed a bursary and an Access to Sheffield Scholarship worth £3,600.
