Cell models of ageing and Parkinson's

Working Group 2 (WG2) strives to reach a consensus on when to use iPSCs and derived cell types for studying the role of ageing in Parkinson's Disease (PD) and identify differences in protocols, which may affect the generation of cellular ageing features.

This group is led by Heather Mortiboys from the University of Sheffield and Janelle Drouin-Ouellet from the University of Montreal.

Aims

The aim of WG2 is

  • to reach consensus on measuring ageing in iPSCs and thereof derived cell type 
  • to identify differences in protocols, which may affect the generation of cellular ageing features. 
  • to reach a consensus on when to use iPSCs for studying the role of ageing in PD
