Our recent Mesothelioma Asbestos Guidance Study (MAGS) on mesothelioma in healthcare workers was featured in a recent issue of the industry magazine Occupational Health Today. Our study highlighted the concerning number of healthcare workers developing mesothelioma in the UK, and explored their experiences of diagnosis and treatment. A series of recommendations were outlined, including better monitoring of mesothelioma in healthcare workers, improved asbestos management and awareness processes within the NHS and improved care for healthcare staff who develop mesothelioma.
