Roles and responsibilities

I joined the Hicks Building in January 2020, having previously worked in the Medical School at the University of Sheffield.

I am responsible for overseeing Learning and Teaching administration for both the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the School of Mathematics and Statistics. This includes managing the Learning and Teaching team and coordinating activity.

Physics and Astronomy roles and responsibilities

• Line manage learning and teaching administrative team
• Devise and develop strategies and policies related to teaching
• Review and develop procedures, policies and documentation related to teaching
• Manage Quality Assurance processes
• Provide guidance on relevant procedural issues
• Responsibility for student experience
• Member of departmental Teaching Committees and Postgraduate Research Committees
• Manage Staff-Student Committees
• Oversee and supervise learning and teaching processes
• Oversee attendance monitoring, recruitment and admissions
• Lead projects related to student or teaching support at departmental or Faculty level
