My name is Liz and I am the Skills Advisor for employability and I am based at the Employability Hub in SUMS. What is employability? It is all of the skills that you need not only to get a role after you graduate but also to be amazing at it when you get there.

We have a wide range of opportunities for you to get involved in whilst you are with us. Some of the ones I support are the following:

• You can come to our skill development sessions where you can learn how to network effectively or how to make your LinkedIn business ready
• You can get involved with some of our student societies such as Enactus, where students develop their own social businesses or the The Investment Society, where you are able to buy and trade real stocks and shares as part of the biggest student investment fund in Europe
• You can get involved in universities business challenge, where you can test your business acumen in a national business competition 
• We also support you to develop your skills within your course, so no matter what you do, you will develop the knowledge and skills to succeed in your career
