I specialise in the intersection of financial management, corporate governance, sustainability, and emerging markets, with a focus on how financial strategies and governance structures impact both firm performance and societal outcomes. My research explores the evolving role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in emerging markets, particularly how business group affiliations influence the effectiveness and credibility of CSR initiatives in high-risk environments. I analyse these dynamics to uncover how companies can achieve sustainable financial success while simultaneously contributing positively to society.
In the classroom, I believe finance education should be transformative. I strive to make learning dynamic and engaging by integrating real-world case studies, simulations, and the latest market data. My teaching approach bridges theoretical concepts with practical applications, empowering students to develop critical thinking and decision-making skills. I aim to prepare students for the complexities of global financial markets by providing them with the tools to navigate these challenges and make informed, strategic choices in their careers.
My research interests lie at the confluence of corporate finance, CSR, emerging markets, and AI, focusing on how these areas shape financial performance and market dynamics. The ongoing transformation of the industry through financial technology and Artificial Intelligence presents new opportunities to enhance decision-making, improve transparency, and foster responsible business practices. My work provides actionable insights for both policymakers and practitioners, helping firms and regulators navigate the intersection of technology, governance, and sustainability in today’s rapidly evolving financial landscape.
I am committed to advancing the understanding of how financial systems can drive both economic growth and societal progress. My research examines how corporate governance, financial strategies, and sustainability intersect to drive long-term value creation. My goal is to offer insights that enable businesses to balance profit with social responsibility, contributing to a more sustainable and equitable global financial system. I aim to shape the future of finance by contributing to the development of practices that align economic and social objectives, benefiting both companies and society.

My research focuses on the intersection of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and business groups within emerging markets, examining how CSR initiatives influence the financial performance and sustainability of conglomerates operating in these dynamic environments. I am particularly interested in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on strategic risk management practices. This includes exploring how AI technologies can enhance decision-making processes, mitigate potential risks, and drive innovation in business operations. Additionally, my research investigates the role of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance in shaping ethical business practices and ensuring compliance. By integrating these diverse yet interconnected areas, my goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of how businesses can leverage CSR and technological advancements to achieve sustainable growth and competitive advantage in emerging markets.
