Professor Eleanor Davies announced as new Associate Dean for Education at Sheffield University Management School

We’re delighted to welcome Professor Eleanor Davies as Associate Dean for Education at Sheffield University Management School.

Eleanor, Professor of Business Education and registered Occupational Psychologist, brings over 25 years of experience in higher education and professional practice to Sheffield. 

Before joining the Management School, Eleanor held significant leadership roles including Director of Education at Keele Business School and Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning at Huddersfield Business School.

Her expertise in the educational portfolio of business schools is well-established, encompassing crucial areas including curriculum development, accreditation, student experience, and executive education, having taught on and contributed to the capstone provision of the MBA programme at the University of Edinburgh. 

Eleanor’s areas of research covers careers and work transitions including employability and professional identity. Her research directly informs Eleanor’s teaching and her approach to leadership in education. 

Beyond the university, Eleanor is an active figure in the wider business education sector. She serves on the Chartered Association of Business Schools Learning, Teaching and Student Experience Committee and holds Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) status, recognising her commitment to faculty development. She is often invited to speak at national and international events on business education, leadership and organisational development.
