Student handbook
The Management School student handbook is designed as a key reference document for current students. It should be consulted as an initial source of information and guidance. It provides information about key aspects of studying with SUMS and at the University of Sheffield as a whole, and will be a valuable source of information throughout your time as a student here.
Timetable change requests
Timetable change requests can only be considered for valid reasons, such as:
- Multiple modules taking place at the same time
- A large distance to travel between back to back classes (please note classes will finish at 10 minutes to the hour to allow you more time to travel. Requests between the Wave and SUMS building will not be considered unless you have exceptional reasons)
- Childcare
- Medical reasons
- Attendance at extra curricular activities (such as sport or language modules)
We may also be able to change your timetable on the basis of work commitments if there is space in alternative groups.
