What is TAS and why are we running this?

The UKRI TAS Hub sits at the heart of the £33M Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) Programme, funded by the UKRI Strategic Priorities Fund. Over the past four years, we have funded and delivered over 70 multidisciplinary projects in AI and Robotics. We have collaborated with more than 170 partners located in the UK and worldwide, witnessing remarkable ideas emerge. We believe there is great potential for commercialisation, amplifying research impact for the common good.

The UKRI AI and Robotics Accelerator presents a unique opportunity to engage with investors and corporate partners who recognise the transformative potential of your research and can help translate it into innovative products and services. This initiative is designed to create mutual value, ensuring both intellectual and economic returns for you and your collaborators.

What is the process?

This initiative is open to all UK researchers. To express your interest, simply fill out this form, by 14th June 2024.

We will then review your idea and reach out if we need any additional information. If successful, you will be invited to participate in a specialist preparation day in London, delivered by our partner organisation, Future Worlds, to hone your pitch.

The Investors Demo Day will take place in London in November, tentatively scheduled for either the 14th or 21st November 2024 (final date to be confirmed). Here is a a link to a similar event that took place last year.

In addition, participating in this programme offers direct entry to Berkeley SkyDeck, our incubator partner in California. You will be fast-tracked into the Future Worlds Bootcamp, providing an opportunity to apply for the Future Worlds Cohort. This six-month programme includes workshops and support from a vast network of corporate partners, investors, and mentors. It culminates in a funded trip to Silicon Valley, California, the hub of tech startups, to meet VCs, attend networking events and visit Berkeley Skydeck - the University of California's startup accelerator where, with Future Worlds’ support, you can fast track the application process.

This opportunity could be a game-changer for you and your research - sign up here.
