Having identified areas where research excellence, ambition and opportunity align at Sheffield, the CMI will focus on four interdisciplinary research themes.
AI Community at Sheffield
The CMI aims to build and sustain a vibrant, inclusive, multidisciplinary environment for AI research at Sheffield. The CMI supports and works with two key networks: the Sheffield Data Science and AI Community (Shef.AI) and Sheffield Robotics.

The CMI has founded a AI Research Engineering (AIRE) team, which is pioneering a bold, collaborative approach to AI research software development to maximise the benefits of AI and deliver new AI capabilities and impactful research with global reach.
