Appointment of the Theme Lead in Robotics and Autonomous Systems for the Centre for Machine Intelligence

The Centre for Machine Intelligence (CMI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Amir Ghalamzan as our new Theme Lead in Robotics and Autonomous Systems.

The Centre for Machine Intelligence (CMI) is thrilled to announce that Amir will be joining us as our new Theme Lead in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, starting on 1st September!

Amir is currently an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Surrey. During his time there, he has led the Intelligent Manipulation Lab, a team dedicated to cutting-edge research in areas such as robotic grasping and manipulation, teleoperation, agri-robotics, robot learning, and haptic and tactile sensors.

Amir holds a PhD in Robotics and Automation Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, and his extensive expertise will be invaluable as we continue to push the boundaries of robotics and autonomous systems.
