The Centre for Machine Intelligence (CMI) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Midhun Parakkal Unni as our new Academic Fellow in AI for Health, starting with us this week!

Midhun comes to CMI from the University of Manchester, where he worked as a Research Associate specialising in machine learning and mathematical modelling. He brings a wealth of experience in mathematical modelling, probabilistic machine learning, and signal processing, gained in both industrial and academic environments.

Midhun's work has been applied to diverse areas including neuromuscular control and wearable medical devices. He is particularly interested in the synergetic applications of probabilistic machine learning and dynamical-systems theory. Midhun is a passionate and experienced researcher, skilled in developing algorithms for medical applications and wearables using machine learning and physics-based modelling.

Please join us in extending a very warm welcome to Midhun! We look forward to the significant contributions he will make to our Centre, especially in the vital field of AI for Health.
