INSY Event: Demystifying AI – Cutting Through the Hype and Realising the Potential

The hype surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) continues to grow, with claims of revolutionary breakthroughs flooding inboxes daily. But with the buzz comes confusion—what exactly is AI, and how can organisations harness its power to innovate responsibly? What ethical and sustainability implications should be considered?

To address these questions, Innovation Network South Yorkshire (INSY) is hosting an exciting event on Wednesday 30 April at the University of Sheffield's INOX Dine. This session will bring together regional AI experts to discuss the real-world applications of AI and offer practical guidance for businesses looking to stay ahead of the curve.

A key feature of the event will be a Demystifying AI breakout room led by Professor James Marshall, Director of the Centre for Machine Intelligence at the University of Sheffield. In this session, attendees will gain a clear understanding of the basics of AI, its potential to drive innovation, and the challenges organisations may face when adopting AI solutions.

In addition, there will be two other breakout rooms focusing on using AI to innovate in business and exploring the ethical and sustainability considerations of AI technologies.

With the rapidly evolving nature of AI, it’s vital for businesses to understand both its potential and its pitfalls. This event will provide participants with the insights they need to navigate the AI landscape effectively and ethically.

The event will also include a networking session, providing attendees with the opportunity to connect with regional AI experts and peers.

Spaces for this event are limited, so be sure to reserve your ticket in advance.
