My research focuses on Incremental Sheet Forming (ISF), a die-less manufacturing technique that uses a CNC-controlled tool to progressively shape sheet metal. ISF provides a flexible, rapid and cost-effective alternative to conventional stamping and deep drawing for low-volume production. I am currently working with industrial partners to develop case studies supporting commercialisation, specifically for Powder Metallurgy Hot Isostatic Pressing (PM-HIP) capsules and aerospace components. Through this work, I am investigating how process parameters influence component accuracy and material properties, building an evidence base that demonstrates ISF’s capabilities and fosters industrial confidence in its adoption.
