We are thrilled to announce that Professor Iman Hajirasouliha has been appointed as an Editor for Thin-Walled Structures, the premier international journal for cutting-edge research into the mechanics, stability and design of thin-walled structures across diverse engineering applications.
This prestigious appointment is a testament to Professor Hajirasouliha’s 25 years of experience and expertise in structural engineering, specifically his research focusing on developing more resilient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly buildings and infrastructure.
A world-leading authority in his field, Professor Hajirasouliha has authored over 200 publications in high-impact journals, holds membership in several prestigious international technical committees, and has secured more than £10 million in EU and UK research funding as Principal or Co-investigator. Since 2020, he has consistently been recognised among the world’s top 2% of scientists in his field, according to the Elsevier-Stanford University global ranking. In addition to this new role at Thin-Walled Structures, he also serves as an Associate Editor of Structures, another leading journal in the field.
