This esteemed journal holds the distinction of being the oldest in the field of water. Since 1956, it has annually awarded its prestigious "Best Reviewer" prize, recognizing the vital role reviewers play in maintaining scientific rigour.
The journal acts as a global platform where experts evaluate manuscripts submitted by leading water scientists, delving into multidisciplinary and emerging challenges in water resources planning and management.
In addition to this accolade, Dr Kesserwani was also elected to be on the leadership joint committee on Hydroinformatics for the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) and the International Water Association (IWA) from June 2024.
Of the award, Dr Kesserwani said: “I have always approached peer review with a willing attitude and an intention to make the work better as it gets published. This voluntary job is necessary to ensure the quality of published academic works but the time requirement can be significant. I am therefore thrilled to have received the Best Reviewer Award as a recognition of the time and effort I put into the process.
“I am also honoured to be elected to take on one of the seventh seats, making up the next joint IAHR/IWA leadership Hydroinformatics committee, and look forward to providing excellent services for both of these international communities.”
