Whilst it is helpful if you use the Eventbrite to indicate in advance if you are attending, you are also very welcome to turn up in-person on the day of the event and without pre-booking. You will need to pre-book the online attendance though as we will need to know where to send the joining link.
Event abstract: ‘Gendered Digital Surveillance and Harms’ is a workshop that aims to reflect on the intersections of gender, digital technologies (some of which are addressed to women, such as FemTech) and regulation. It aims to understand the nature and scope of technology-facilitated gendered surveillance and harms and explore regulatory or legal responses grounded in feminist (data) justice.
Panelists include: Anastasia Siapka (Leuven), Marit Hansen (Office of the Data Protection Commissioner Schleswig-Holstein), Felix Bieker (Office of the Data Protection Commissioner Schleswig-Holstein), Judith Blidjen (The Digital Period project). Dr Maria Tzanou, Prof Tsachi Keren- Paz and Karan Tripathi who will be discussing their Leverhulme Trust funded project 'FemTech Surveillance: Gendered Digital Harms and Regulatory Responses'.
