From theory to code, numbers to stories, my data science journey has been a thrilling mix of learning, building, and connecting. Being a student representative adds another layer, challenging me and shaping my leadership. It's been demanding, but the excitement of discovery and the potential impact fuel my passion for this path. 

Gaining valuable experience and changing the world

Beyond the thrill of data wrangling and storytelling, it's the potential impact that excites me. Using data science to shape organizations, guide decisions, and influence the world. 

During my high school years, I had interned at PWC in Dubai as a legal associate where I researched, interpreted and analysed immigration law to determine the most effective legal strategies for my given case. Now I'm at University, I am most looking forward to implementing my knowledge into charity organizations or perhaps even medical institutes either way, I know I want to make an impact in general welfare in my placement year!

In the future, I see myself joining a charity organization or perhaps even a medical one, pushing the boundaries of data science and using my insights to guide impactful decisions. I want to use this knowledge to improve the general welfare of whatever institution I end up being at.

Advice for future students

You'll be working with statistics and probability, so a strong foundation in these areas will be helpful. While the core skills are important it is crucial to consider what specific areas of data science pique your interest. Whether it Is machine learning, python, R, data visualization techniques-exploring these areas can help you see if the course aligns with your long-term goals.
