Yorkshire Place Based Impact Acceleration Account (PBIAA) in Medical Technologies
The Yorkshire PBIAA will offer funding to research groups across the region working on MedTech products to assess the market and clinical needs for new technologies, as well as supporting preliminary and technical work to bridge the existing gap between research and products in the market.
The funding will also support networking events, public and patient engagement activities, workshops and secondments.

Sano Centre for Computational Personalized Medicine
Sano is an International Research Institute dedicated to the advancement of computational medicine.
In addition to national Polish funding sources, Sano benefits from support from the EC Teaming for Excellence programme. The EC funded activity to support establishment of Sano brings together a consortium of international partners including the University of Sheffield. Dr. Andrew Narracott is PI in Sheffield for the EC Teaming activity, which includes over ten co-Investigators from Insigneo.
The focus of the Sano research agenda is to develop sophisticated computer methods for the prevention, diagnosis and assistance of the treatment of diseases, to meet the overarching worldwide need for efficient, effective and streamlined healthcare. Dr Narracott will provide input to the Advisory board to maximise the value of collaborative opportunities between Sano and Insigneo.

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - Clinical Translation
Dr Paul Morris is Insigneo's Director for Clinical Translation and will be scoping new opportunities for clinical collaborations for Insigneo researchers across the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
