Qiang Zhang

Qiang focuses on the portrayals of Islamic State and hidden power-knowledge relations. Her current research spans disciplines including political communication, media studies and linguistics. Prior to her PhD study in Sheffield, she did her MA in Linguistics at Shandong University, China. Thanks to her diverse disciplinary background, she specializes in various fields, such as Discourse Analysis, Corpus Linguistics and Cognitive Metonymy.
